Deepen your professional skills with AANE training.
AANE offers self-paced e-learning courses, in-person training, and online workshops that can help strengthen professionals’ work with Autistic clients. Continuing education (CE) credits are available.
For Therapists & Coaches of Couples & Partners – Neurodiverse Couples Institute (NCI) was founded in 2016 and currently offers online training courses and resources for neurodiverse couples and the therapists and coaches who work with them. Online courses offer 3-12 APA CEs
For Coaches of Adults & Older Teens – Intensive Autism Coach Training (IACT) is a four-day, annual in-person training program, followed by two years of clinical support, for human service professionals and life coaches interested in gaining expertise in working with Autistic and Neurodivergent older teens and adults. In-person training offers 20.5 CEs for psychologists.
For All – Daniel W. Rosenn Autism & Neurodiversity Learning Series are online presentations with experts who discuss the intersection of autism and a variety of topics through a neurodiversity-affirming lens to educate and empower professionals in their work. Live virtual presentations offer 2 CEs for psychologists
Completion of the NCI and IACT courses enables participants to be listed on the AANE website pages below to market their services and/or practice.

Neurodiverse Couples Institute
Therapists and coaches who complete Training 101 and Certification 201 will be included on a List of AANE-Trained Neurodiverse Couples Therapists, where neurodiverse couples in need can find trained therapists.

TRAINING 101: Fundamentals of Working with Neurodiverse Couples in Therapy
Teaches therapists how to recognize, understand, and effectively treat neurodiverse couples in therapy. This is a ten hour self-paced online training. 10 APA or ASWB ACE CEs
CERTIFICATION 201: Case Presentations and Advanced Topics in Neurodiverse Couples Therapy
For those who want to further their knowledge with an individualized learning experience including presenting their own case and deep dives into specific topics. This twelve hour course meets online eight times for ninety minutes in groups of five to eight fellow clinicians. 12 APA CEs
INTIMACY INTENSIVE
This deep, thoughtful course is an advanced training for therapists and coaches to identify and address intimacy challenges in neurodiverse relationships. This is a six hour, self-paced online training. 6 APA or ASWB ACE CEs
101 FOR COUPLES: Fundamentals of Recognizing and Understanding Neurodiversity in a Relationship
Designed specifically for neurodiverse couples where one or both partners are Autistic, as well as for therapists and coaches who work with them, this is a three hour, self-paced online course. 3 APA or ASWB ACE CEs

Intensive Autism Coach Training
A unique opportunity for business and professional growth. Participants learn and practice the coaching approaches developed by AANE’s LifeMAP Coaching program, which has over 16 years of experience and has helped thousands of clients.
Participants also receive 2 years of remote clinical support and membership in the Autism Professional Coaching Association (APCA).
20.5 CEs available for psychologists
Intensive Autism Coach Training
This annual in-person training program for human service professionals and/or life coaches interested in gaining expertise in working with older Autistic teens and adults. Meets four days in Watertown, MA for eight hours each day. 20.5 CEs available.
Autism Professional Coaching Association
A professional development resource and support for professionals who coach, guide, and advise Autistic and other similar neurodivergent older teens and adults. Membership includes monthly clinical group sessions with colleagues, skill-building workshops, and one-on-one consultations with experienced AANE LifeMAP coaches.

Experts discuss the intersection of autism and a variety of topics through a neurodiversity-affirming lens to educate and empower professionals in their work.

Sept 17: Beyond Crisis: Supporting Suicide Prevention in the Autistic Community
This session will cover recent research advances related to suicide prevention for the Autistic community from studies conducted in partnership Autistic people. It will encourage participants to think broadly about suicide prevention and how Autistic people can be better supported, rather than waiting to respond to crisis moments. 2.0 CEs available for psychologists
Oct 22: Love, Sex, and Autism: Practical Guidance for Authentic Intimacy
